Hello, sorry it has taken so long to write another post, I have been extremely busy!
Wednesday night when I was at church, my youth pastors were talking about Ignite. Many of you have probably heard this word or even think you know what it means, I thought I did. The main interpretation of this word that they used was "one group of people coming together for one cause and purpose". I would have never thought of this meaning, what I generally think of when hearing this word is something to do with flames, or fire. But, I guess in a way this is all the same.
You know that feeling where you go to church and sit through the songs and teaching, but you don't really get anything out of it?
I went through a time where I would sit through worship with an attitude of "God, you haven't fixed my problems yet so you don't deserve my praise". Now, I didn't actually say this or even think this, but that was the way I was acting. I looked at all the things wrong in my life instead of all the good things.
I would see all of the other people praising God, and think everything must be going great for them, and that's why they can praise God.
Obviously, this is wrong, and I am so thankful that I have seen how wrong I was.
I hope this will encourage you to look at your life honestly. It wasn't easy to admit my attitude. But it feels so much better to be honest and open. Now, I can worship God the way I'm supposed to.
Will be posting again soon!
